Privacy policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet the basics of Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and the UK GDPR. If anything is unclear, email hello@yanforge.com.

Who we are

YanForge is a software studio run by Aryan Ahmed, with its head office in Islamabad, Pakistan. We decide how the information below is used. Contact for anything in this policy: hello@yanforge.com.

What we collect

  • When you send the contact form: your name, WhatsApp number, email, the details you choose (service, business type, country, locations, message), and which site or link brought you here.
  • When you book a call: the time you pick, your name, WhatsApp number, email, time zone and language, kept for 24 months after the call, the same as enquiries.
  • If you press Accept on the cookie banner: a random visitor id and a 30-minute visit id, stored in cookies, and the pages you view on this site, with the date and time, the site or link that sent you, your country and city, device type (phone, tablet or desktop) and language. If you later send the form, that visit history is linked to your enquiry.
  • If you choose Only necessary, or choose nothing: only anonymous counts: the page, the site that sent you, country, city, device type and language, with no id of any kind. We cannot tell one visitor from another.
  • Hosting analytics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load. Neither sets cookies or follows you across other websites.

We never store your IP address. Our host reads your connection to work out a country and city; we keep those two names, not the address. We do not fingerprint devices, we do not use advertising trackers, and we never sell your data.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, book the call you asked for and scope the work.
  • To send you one email confirming that your enquiry arrived.
  • To see which pages are read and which links bring people here, so we know what to keep and what to fix.

We do not send marketing you didn't ask for.

Legal basis

Analytics cookies and the visit history linked to them rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Your enquiry is handled because you asked us to reply (steps you request before a contract) and in our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us. The necessary cookies that remember your cookie and language choices need no consent.

Who processes it for us

  • Vercel: hosts this website and runs the cookieless analytics.
  • Supabase: our database, hosted in Mumbai, India.
  • Resend: sends the enquiry notification and your confirmation email.
  • Zoho Mail: our email inbox.

Each acts only on our instructions. We share nothing with anyone else unless the law requires it.

International transfers

These providers store or process data outside Saudi Arabia and the UK, including in India, the United States and other countries. We use providers that offer contractual safeguards for such transfers, and we keep only what is described here.

How long we keep it

  • Visit records: 13 months, then deleted.
  • Enquiries: 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client; then for as long as we work together and as long as the law requires records to be kept.
  • Cookies: see the lifetimes in the cookie policy.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@yanforge.com. We reply within 30 days and confirm once it is done. You can withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you are unhappy with how we handled your data, you can complain to the regulator where you live: the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) in Saudi Arabia, or the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK.

Cookies

The cookies we use, what each one is for and how long it lasts are listed in the cookie policy.

Changes

If we change this policy, the date at the top changes with it.
